The tissue paper offer many new options for the folders thanks to its exceptional thinness (25 g / m²) and its many textures. Here's how I use it:
- Use alone:
Due to its fineness and lightness, it is very interesting to fold complex models with many layers.
With foil, it can be used immediately. Indeed, with the foil layer you are able to shape the model very easily.
If it contains no foil, you could add methylcellulose (wallpaper glue) to make it more rigid . This technique know a lot of success today.
- Used to improve appearance models:
Textured, with many colors, simulating the fur, hair or plants, the tissue paper is ideal for transforming the appearance of your models and to highlight them. Its thinness allows it to be pasted on any paper without interferences with your folding. I use it mainly pasted on foil papers. So I obtain a very nice textured paper that retains its unique capability of shape with the foil content inside.
