Book Description:

Creating Origami is a mythical book. After 15 years of being out of print, Creating Origami is a rare, sought-after classic, original copies of which are jealously guarded by lucky collectors who were able to obtain them upon its first release. There are many folders that have sought in vain to get their hands on this book to fold the famous "fish and anemone" by JC Nolan, one of the most complex model of its time! Now, Creating Origami is once again available to a new generation of folders.

If you've ever wondered how an origami designer thinks, or wanted more information on how to create new origami models yourself, this book is for you. In Creating Origami, J.C. Nolan brings you inside his origami design process in glorious detail, explaining his creative techniques for origami design.

The book is divided into three parts:

Part 1:  Experimentations
The first 100 pages of the book are dedicated to his thoughts on the creative experience, strategies, tools and tricks of the trade, detailing instructions for origami bases and techniques used in the models.

Part 2: Inspirations
17 models that Nolan was inspired by, including the famous Patricia Crawford's models like squirrel on a branch, scorpion, Sailboat, Kangaroo and its baby with diagrams redrawn.

Partie 3 : Créations
25 models from intermediate to super complex level, including the detailed instructions for the famous two-color Clownfish and Sea Anemone as well as the diagram revisited and improved for his complex dragonfly.

Now, after a successful and well publicized re-launch campaign on Kickstarter.com, Creating Origami is once again available to a new generation of fans, folders, and designers. A must-have book for the technical folder or budding creator!
