With a prologue by Tomoko Fuse, the world-renowned Japanese origami master, this book features 26 of my favorite tessellations, along with 3 boxes and 2 “omiyage/tato” models derived from these designs.

The book begins with an introduction to the history and origins of origami tessellations, as well as an overview of the techniques and materials needed for those interested in exploring this fascinating art form.

The models are categorized based on the twists used in each design, with additional insights drawn from my own folding experience. Each model includes a CP (crease pattern) along with detailed step-by-step instructions, featuring diagrams and explanatory text to guide the reader. A photo of the completed model (usually in its extended version) is also provided at the end of each section.

Throughout the book, readers will discover original hand-drawn sketches by Alejandra Zapico, which served as the foundation for the final computer-generated diagrams.
