Unryu HANJI Paper 40 × 40 cm – Textured Tissue Sheet
Unryu HANJI paper is an exceptional Japanese tissue paper, renowned for its unique fibrous texture. Thanks to its slightly fuzzy appearance and the presence of visible natural fibers, it adds an organic and realistic dimension to even the most demanding origami models.

How to use this paper
Used alone, Unryu paper is naturally too soft for classic origami, unless you master certain advanced techniques. In that case, it becomes one of the thinnest and most expressive papers available.
It is particularly recommended for:
- Making sandwich paper by gluing it onto kitchen foil or metallic paper.
- Methylcellulose (wallpaper paste) impregnation to stiffen the sheet.
- Acrylic paint application to strengthen the paper while preserving its texture.
Once prepared, the result is an extremely thin paper, ideal for complex folds and highly detailed models.
