Really great paper! Pretty good for complex models, although I didn't realize there was a limit to h ... Just be wary of how complex an origami model you are making if you are using this tissue foil paper (I attempted the ancient dragon by satoshi kamiya and the final product was only ok).

This is my go-to paper for most intermediate origami projects. It is quite strong, and it doesn't ea ... (Leer más)sily tear. It is easy to crease and to reverse the direction of the creases. Furthermore, the colors are very pretty; I especially like the flexibility offered by having one side be metallic and the other be normal. However, especially for very complex models, it can get quite thick.

The pack comes with a great variety of colors. All of them have one shiny side and one flat side. Some of them have more contrast in color on each side than others, which means those work better for dual tone-oriented models.

Personnellement, je suis partgé... J'adore ce papier autant que je le déteste. Il fait partie de c ... (Leer más)eux que j'utilise le plus dû à sa polyvalence mais je ne sais jamais trop ce que j'ai entre les mains. Points positifs : il est relativement fin, mais solide et très "crispy", les plis sont bien marqués sur la face matte (toute erreur est même potentiellement irréversible). Le shaping est parfois dur, mais reste agréable et le rendu est globalement flatteur, sauf quand la face pailletée se met à débarder de ci de là et sauf quand trop de plis ont blanchi le papier. Points négatifs : la face pailletée en question... Je la trouve littéralement dégueulasse. J'ai des doute sur le fait que ce papier soit réellement métallisé comme le serait du papier sandwich. Il donne l'impression d'être peint à la bombe avec de la peinture métallisée. Sur certaine couleurs (or, cuivre, argent en particulier) si vous pliez la face pailletée en question, vous vous retrouvez vite avec des paillettes sur les doigts. C'est louche. Bon, le résultat reste "joli", mais vraiment sans plus. Pas très esthétique.

Ideally ive found this paper works best on anything up to most moderately complex models, although it's thickness starts to become more noticeable the more complex you go. Overall really great paper for most standard origami, and id say a great first “specialty†paper to start with too!

Since when I discovered it, in each of my orders there is a pack of tissue-foil. Beautiful textures ... (Leer más)and colors. Ideal for easy, intermediate and often complex models. For super complex models like Kamiya's Phoenix it can give nice folds, but I wish there was also a format of 70 cm x 70 cm to improve the results for those models.

Appearance
This paper was used for Sleipnir, Yatagarasu, and Kirin. The attendees preferred ... (Leer más)this pack over the gold and copper packs, which makes sense. In a workshop setting, colour diversity is fun. The colours are all beautiful.
Convenience
'Not a perfect square' is what some attendees said about the paper, but I am very pleased. It is far more precise than what I can do with a paper cutter and a lot of patience. I think noticeable imprecisions in the finished model will mostly come from sloppy folding, not Origami-shop's cutting.
It's a miracle that I grab ~30 sheets tissue-foil off the shelf without preparatory work (cutting, treating with methyl cellulose, gluing the tissue and foil layers together). So much time is saved, and for that I'm extremely grateful Terry and his team.
Durability
It can rip when you do not want it to. Godly paper is still paper. Practice some caution.
Toxicity
One member sniffed the paper and said it smelled weird. Another person showed me his fingers glistening with his sheet's coating. For the paper I picked, I did not notice these problems, so as long as you wash your hands after folding, everything will be alright.

Nice to fold paper, but the colors are not as vivid as they seem on the pictures. For example, the r ... (Leer más)ed paper is darker (fine for me, as I like it darker), but it is like a washed out wine red. The grey paper is nice - silver-like at the one side and stone grey, a bit bluish on the other. The black is great, really deep black on the color side. copper is really nice on the foil side.

Ce très beau papier est particulièrement bien adapté pour les modèles de niveau intermédiaire à ... (Leer más) difficile. Le papier est assez fin et solide. Sa rigidité lui évite les bosses ou froissages qu'on aurait avec les papiers métallisés japonais.
La face non métallisée est poreuse et peu donc être contre-collé avec du MC pour avoir une autre couleur.
Sa rigidité rend assez difficile les plis courbes. La "compression" et les surcouches sont aussi difficile à réaliser. Le papier a également tendance à se déplier dans le temps, mais contre ça, il y a la colle spéciale origami ;)
Le rendu sur des modèles de style Hideo Komatsu est excellent.

I love tissue foil. This paper isn't cheap by any means, but folding models that are extremely comp ... (Leer más)lex means you need paper that can handle the job as well as you can. This paper is definitely up to the challenge. Models like Kamiya's ancient dragon, Lang's Yellowjacket and Takashi's violinist will only frustrate folders unless they go into the challenge with the right paper, and this is it. Not only is this paper very thin and supple, it holds a crease beautifully, details very well without wet-folding, and has a lovely shimmering finish. Worth the cost.

Nakashima maîtrise cependant cet aspect grâce à son expérience. J'achèterai encore cet exceptionnel papier, sachant maintennt qu'il pardonne peu aux mains peu expérimentées dans des réalisations plus élaborées. Lorsqu'il est manipulé avec soin dans des réalisations intermédiaires, il produit de petites splendeurs.

I have to say these papers were simply amazing! I have folded so many complex models with these pape ... (Leer más)rs and the finished models turned out amazing. However, some papers have torn way too easily. When the paper gets thick in certain parts of a model, it starts to rip. This was the case with only 6 papers but the rest were amazing.

Le papier se plie à merveille, tient très bien le pli, est résistant, fin, et il y a la possibilité de choisir en fonction du côté du papier un aspect mat ou brillant.

je ne mets pas 5 étoiles car les plis au milieu de la feuille sont sensé ne ... (Leer más)pas déranger mais certains pliages n'ont pas besoin de ces plis horizontaux et verticaux. Hors ceux ci peuvent perturber la réalisation et ces plis apparaissent sur lœuvre terminée ce qui n'est pas très joli.
A part cela, ce papier est tellement agréable et permet des réalisations complexes très précise.

This paper isn't real tissue foil, but it's actually pretty good. Mainly because it's strong and eas ... (Leer más)ier to shape than other papers. I found it to be a little bit thick though, but it surprisingly didn't feel like it during the folding process.

Ich habe auf Anhieb ein komplexes Modell (Käfer) gefaltet und bin mit dem Resultat sehr zufrieden. Ich werde das Papier wieder kaufen. - Dieses Pack hatte ich bestellt um die verschiedenen Papiere zu vergleichen und mich dann später für mehr von einer Sorte zu entscheiden. - Alle Papiere sind empfehlenswert auch für komplexere Modelle.

I really like this paper. Allows you to be precise and is easier to reverse fold your precreases th ... (Leer más)an home-made tissue foil. It is a little difficult to work with and can rip if you are not careful, especially when folding a complex model in half. But if you are careful and take your time, the result can be really well shaped without the need for wet folding.

Superb paper! Light and supple, yet surprisingly 'meaty' to work with, and seems to be able to withs ... (Leer más)tand a lot of abuse (reversing folds multiple times, complex sinks, etc). Wet-shaping is a delight. Though not properly duo-color, one side is much more metallic than the other, giving a bit of choice. Finished models hold their shape very well and look very classy.

Sometimes it breaks a bit, but not every color. The sheets with lighter colors are a bit translucent, but if you like that it's perfect ^-^.

This an excellent product, but in my opinion a misleading one. Originally I came to purchase this i ... (Leer más)n the hopes that I could stop constructing my own tissue foil. Tissue foil (the real stuff) is handmade paper and if youre interested in making it I recommend that you buy some Unryu tissue paper elsewhere on this site and follow the instructions posted there. Tissue foil is meant to be an improvement on traditional foil paper. To paraphrase Robert Lang, where foil paper is more like paper than foil, tissue foil is meant to be more like foil than paper. To me Origami-shop tissue foil is a different beast entirely. It is a very slightly metalized paper that honestly is even more like true paper than foil paper. This means that it doesnt compress like true tissue foil (or foil paper), nor does it keep shape without tension. If youre looking for those features (the real benefits of true tissue foil) then you will be disappointed with this product. However, this product has several benefits over a true tissue foil. Its beautiful paper on both sides (unlike harsh, shiny foil) and its very easy to reverse fold and even reasonable to unsink (the bane of real tissue foil, in my opinion). Interestingly, despite other reviews, I find it to be an excellent wet folding paper when brushed locally with MC. I feel I should point out that I find Origami-shop tissue foil to be a completely different paper from what has been described by others (such as at happyfolding.com). It is entirely possible that there are batch effects (although Ive ordered this on two different occasions in 2014 and gotten the same qualities) or the result of a formula/manufacturing change. I highly recommend that you try it (and even wet fold it!) but dont think of it like real tissue foil.

Deliciously crisp paper that holds a crease really well. The inside surface is textured nicely so t ... (Leer más)hat it almost sticks to itself which makes the layers stay folded the way I want them, instead of sliding apart when I fold through a layer. Creases that end on a corner can be tricky since the crispness of the paper makes it prone to micro-tears at the corner if you're not paying close attention, but this is a minor gripe. I'd reccomend this paper to any folder.

Se deja doblar muy bien y los modelos terminados no se abren en absoluto, eso sÃ, el tacto y calidad del papel varÃa ya sea dorado o plateado en mi opinion mejores, o bien perla o blanco cuyo tacto es parecido pero no igual de bueno.
