Ce n'est pas la texture de papier que j'avais espéré et certains papiers sont trop épais. De plus ... (Lire la suite), la couleur noire n'est peut-être pas non plus la couleur la plus représentative pour un éléphant.
Origami-shop : Comme il est précisé dans la description de ce papier sur notre site :
Ce papier robuste donne du volume a vos modèles. Il présente une jolie texture, similaire à un parchemin ou à du marbre. Lisse et résistant à l'eau, il est parfaitement adapté pour les pliages en wet-folding (pliage humide) ainsi que pour les Tesselations.
Il est conseillé de choisir ce papier :
- Pour donner de la rondeur et de la 3D à vos modèles
- Pour apporter une texture exceptionnelle donnant de la profondeur à vos pliages
- Pour plier des Tesselations ou du Modulaire
- Pour pratiquer le Wet-folding avec un papier parfaitement adapté
Comment l'utiliser :
- Pour les pliages complexes, choisissez une grande feuille (48x48 cm et +)
- Pour les pliages intermédiaires, une feuille 30x30 cm est suffisante
- Pliage à sec : pour les Tesselations, le Modulaire, les modèles intermédiaires. Pliage à sec aussi pour les modèles complexes si le modèle ne possède pas trop de surcouches (évitez les insectes par exemple)
- Pliage humide (Wet-folding) :
1) Technique n°1 (la plus facile)
Pliez à sec la base du modèle aussi loin que possible. Quand les plis deviennent plus difficiles, humidifier les zones de pliage avec une éponge humide ou un spray d'eau.
2) Technique n°2 :
Humidifiez la totalité de la feuille avec une éponge ou un spray. Pliez votre modèle rapidement avant qu'il ne soit sec. Séchez au sèche-cheveux ou à l'air libre en maintenant éventuellement des parties du modèle avec des pinces à linge. Cette technique nécessite que vous connaissiez parfaitement la séquence de plis pour plier le modèle le plus rapidement possible.

This is a very good quality paper objectively and the colours have a really cool marble-like texture ... (Lire la suite), it is very strong and almost impossible to tear. It is quite thick though and I found it quite difficult to fold. If you choose the right model for it, it looks really good when finished and the finished pieces are very durable. It works much better for wet folding than dry but I didn't really enjoy working with it, I have mixed feelings overall. I wouldn't recommend it to beginners and not for anything that has lots of layers either.

Origami-shop : il est bien précisé sur le site que les feuilles de cette taille sont envoyées pliées. (cf. détail ci-dessous)
A noter :
Les feuilles carrées sont des produits EXCLUSIFS à notre boutique puisque nous les coupons et les conditionnons nous-même.
Important : Les feuilles au format 68x68 cm vous seront envoyées pliées en 4 en carrés de 34x34 cm. Elles contiennent donc forcément des traces de pliures qui ne devraient, cependant, pas gêner l'aspect final de votre modèle. En commandant ce papier, vous acceptez de recevoir ces feuilles pliées.

This is a photogenic paper that is very ... (Lire la suite)tough and durable. It is quite thick: you'll want a bone folder to crease it and it's not suitable for anything with lots of layers. But, I still consider it a five star paper because when used for the right model this paper yields lovely results. I like that it shapes very well with wet folding and is much less prone to tearing while wet than other papers.

Very high quality paper, feels light and easy ... (Lire la suite) to manipulate despite its thickness. Haven't tried wet-folding yet, but wet-shaping is easy and fun. Finished models hold their shape very well, but (to my taste) don't look as classy as some of the thinner papers out there unryu and tissue-foil get top marks on that front.

Finally have some experience with the famous Elephant Hide paper. I had heard raving reviews about ... (Lire la suite)this paper from all sorts of origami artists around the world, and while I understand now what they like about it I confess it is not my favorite paper to use. It is super thick and very hard on the hands to fold. I struggled with folding a complex model using this paper and my hands hurt from my efforts. This paper makes for some amazing models and lends to wet folding well. It has a unique property that almost allows you to erase folds with gentle massaging of the paper which is probably its greatest feature. The colors are lovely and the texture is smooth, almost waxy. I think when paired with the right diagram it would be great, maybe a hollow styled or simpler sleek model. I think that I'd likely pick other paper first though... for the sake of my hands.
