How I use this paper:

When I want to fold a model with a white color, I often use the white side of a classic paper foil. However, there are several disadvantages to usie this paper and white tissue-foil is very insteresting to fill these gaps:
 
1) The white-face of the classic foil is smooth and uniform and so unattractive => The white tissue-foil bring us a nice textured surface that catches the light.
 
2) The metallized face of the classic foil is unsightly and should be covered, usually gluing Unryu or Tissue-papers. However, the metallic effect of the foil still spring through => On contrary, the metallized face of the white tissue-foil is spangled, which cancels all reflections. Thus, the metallic appearance does not cross through Unryu or tissue paper.
 
Here is an example of folding with my dog ​​where I use the white tissue-foil glue on a black Unryu:
- The white face catch the light (see the shadows on the tail) 
- No metallic sheen appears through the black Unryu.

 

Other Qualities:

Developed in partnership with a paper factory in Thailand, we have selected this paper so that it best suits the needs of folders:

  • For complex models: it is thin but strong and supports layer overlays
  • For models with 3D shape: the foil side allows precise shaping easy to fix
  • For simple models: Stiff and folds easily with creases easy to spot. 
  • For Modulars: it has the friction to hold units together.
  • For Tessellations: easy to fold and accurate grid with a clear identification of the creases and the collapse is made naturally
     

This is the best selling of our shop thanks to this versatility.

It is also very interesting for the folders because it is one of the few paper immediately usable if you want to shape easily models (there is no need to go through the tedious step of the manufacture of sandwich paper or use of methylcellulose).


Notes:

​Sheets with format 40x40 cm to 70x70 cm will be sent folded by us. It therefore inevitably contain creases but of course, the traces will not interfere in the final appearance of your model. By ordering this paper, you agree to receive sheets folded.
