This is the first-ever Origami World Marathon!

New: download here
the updated schedule
+ all recommended papers

The basic idea is simple: 48 creators, teaching 48 original models in 48 hours for 48 .

We have chosen the best origami artists from around the world. Each of them will teach one of their models via Zoom. This is the unique opportunity to learn from the best directly, and also to know the people behind the names!

Dates: August 22nd-23rd
(depending on time zones, workshops can start on the 21st or end on the 24th!)

  • Participants will receive a unique Zoom link for all the workshops.
  • The Workshops will be given live. Following the workshop, we may have a short question-and-answer session with the artist.
  • Zoom is available for PC, tablets, and phones: Android or iPhone.
  • Attendess will receive all video recordings after each workshop, so you won't miss a thing!
You will be able to fold all the models even if you can't make yourself available live!

The profits generated will be partly redistributed to the artists, moderators and the origami community.

More than folding models, we offer above all a meeting with famous designers. Because many of us cannot travel to the four corners of the world to meet them, it is a unique opportunity to be able to fold alongside the artists we admire, "feel" their way of folding and teaching, and maybe even discuss with them at the end of the session.

Terms and conditions

Your registration fee allows you to attend up to 48 workshops and get 48 links to the videos. We cannot supply the video files.

Your link is unique and can not be used on two separate devices. If you share it with your friend only one of you will be able to log in.

During the workshops, those selected will have the opportunity to restore the sound and ask questions. Others will be able to turn on their video camera, to show off their models. The organizers will not be responsible for the inappropriate material presented in the video.

As this agreement is based on technical means, we reserve the right to modify the program without notice!  Video quality may vary depending on camera, internet connection and other variables. We've done our best to have the best setting and to make sure it's good enough to teach. However, we may face some difficulties that will cause the video quality to degrade.

The workshop will start exactly at the time indicated. We will not restart a workshop even if you are one minute late.

Any question related to the use of Zoom is not the responsibility of the organizers and must be handled by the participants.
